Vacation 2009

For Vacation this year we took the kids to Sesame Place in PA...and then to DC to visit April. We had such a great time and it was a much needed break for the whole family. The Sesame Park was so fun for the kids and so nostalgic for Art and I. I loved seeing the charecters as much as the kids did. The shows were fantastic and Maddie even got to be in the Elmos World Live show. Our first day at Sesame Place there was NO crowd at all all and we got to go on rides and Water slides over and over again with no line. Art and I had as much fun as the kids! The second day was hot and more crowded but we still managed to have a blast! DC was great too. we really just wanted to get to see April...we knew the kids wouldn't be that into touring the sights but we all loved the natural history museum...we had a great time there and especially loved the fact that it kept us out of the 95 degree heat. WE also had fun visiting the DC temple and playing at a park..Santa Clauses park! WE enjoyed seeing all of the places that April has lived the past few years. The kids just couldn't believe that Aunt April has to park her car on the road. They told her that she should move to Ohio because we have driveways there! The kids sure love their Aunt April. I don't think Maddie left her side the entire time we were there. It was a great trip and we are so glad we got to go. Sesame Place is on our lists worthy of a return visit.

Avas last week of school!

We had such a fun school year with Maddie and Ava both at the same preschool together. It made my heart melt every morning as watched them walk in the school hand in hand. There we a LOT of fun activities as we finished up the school year. Avas class had a teddy bear picnic and then a trip to the zoo. We had a great week. and I am happy to be on a more relaxed summer schedule now! We had a great year though. The girls both had really great teachers, whom they adored! Here are some pictures from Avas picnic and zoo trip.

Lots to catch up on!

I am way behind on posting I doubt anyone still checks for updates. SO hopefully over the next few days i will get some new post up. here are some photos from the Indains game we went to while my sister and brother were both in town! Thanks to Dave for getting us the suite. It was the perfect way to take all the kids to a game. We could contain them and we had a bathroom in the room! we could also go inside and get warm, it was a bit chilly that night. they loved it. Brent thinks that would make a nice bachelor pad. him living at the ball field.he could order food when he wanted and open the curtains when the game was on! i think it sounds like a great idea! we sure had fun! the Cavs playoff game was also going on and we could watch that inside...Art was in heaven..At a baseball game and watching the Cavs on the TV win. And its always nice when the whole fam can be together!

Easter Baskets!

Our kids always get their Easter Baskets on Saturday before Easter, and we really try to make Easter really simple. So that we can spend most of our time learning about our Savior, and his Atonement and Resurrection.
They got just a few treats and A Webkinz with an outfit for it! They were thrilled!

More Easter!

Here are a few of the pictures I took Easter morning before church! i was trying to capture some of the beauty of the dresses that their Grandma made them. but we were really rushed to get to church on time as we are most Sundays so they aren't the best, but cute none the less! Enjoy!

the bows i made to match their dress!

Intellectual thoughts from a 5 year old!

Maddie just said to me...
"Mom, poop is not Necessarily a bad word...it only is bad if you call someone a poopy face!"

Since when did my 5 year old start using the word Necessarily???
